More Than Meeting a Need
We believe Jesus transforms lives—and that meaningful ministry happens when we move beyond transactions and toward genuine relationships. The Bridge Ministry brings the Church and community together to share the love of Christ in tangible ways, creating opportunities for people to be known, valued, and strengthened through relationships built over time.
Who We Are
The Bridge Ministry is a Christ-centered nonprofit committed to connecting the local Church and community through meaningful relationships, tangible service, and intentional discipleship.
We believe the Church is uniquely called and equipped to love its neighbors, walk alongside people, and make the hope of Christ visible in everyday life. The Bridge helps create practical, structured ways for that calling to take shape—bringing people together through environments where relationships can grow, trust can be built, and faith can be lived out.
We seek to serve with both compassion and purpose, recognizing the inherent dignity and God-given worth of every person. Rather than viewing people as problems to solve or needs to meet, we desire to know one another, grow together, and create opportunities for lasting transformation rooted in Jesus Christ.
What We Do
The Bridge Ministry creates structured environments where practical needs and meaningful relationships come together. Through consistent presence, we create opportunities for trust to grow, relationships to deepen, and discipleship to take place over time.
Our mission takes shape through two primary programs:
Through consistent breakfasts and dinners, Meal Services creates a place for dignified hospitality, meaningful relationships, and spiritual encouragement around the table.
Empower Employment uses meaningful, paid work as a pathway toward greater stability, personal growth, and lasting opportunity within a supportive, discipleship-centered environment.
Though these programs serve in different ways, they share the same foundation: going beyond a single moment of assistance to walk alongside people through meaningful relationships, tangible service, and opportunities for lasting growth.
What We Believe
What we believe shapes how we serve. Our work is grounded in biblical truth and centered on Jesus Christ, guiding the way we see people, build relationships, and engage our community.
True and lasting transformation is found in Jesus. While practical support can create stability and open doors, we believe our deepest hope is found in Christ. This is why we seek ministry that goes beyond transactions—creating opportunities for relationships, discipleship, and the love of Christ to be shared in meaningful ways.
Every person is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity and value. We seek to serve in ways that honor that dignity—recognizing strengths, encouraging responsibility, and walking alongside people rather than viewing them simply through the lens of their needs or circumstances.
We believe spiritual growth is cultivated through genuine relationships and faithful presence. Discipleship is more than a program or a moment; it happens as people share life, encourage one another, speak truth, practice accountability, and grow together over time.
We believe God has uniquely called the local Church to make disciples, love our neighbors, and bear witness to Christ in the world. The Bridge seeks to support that calling by creating meaningful opportunities for the Church to put faith into action and build relationships within the community.
Following Jesus shapes both what we believe and how we live. We believe faith should be expressed through tangible acts of love, generosity, hospitality, meaningful work, and service—meeting people where they are while pointing toward the hope found in Christ.
Statement of Faith
We believe that only the sixty-six books of the Bible are the inspired and, therefore, inerrant Word of God. The Bible is the final authority for all we believe and how we are to live. (Mt. 5:18; Jn. 10:35; 17:17; 2 Tim. 3:16–17; 2 Pet. 1:20–21)
The Trinity
We believe that the one true God exists eternally in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and that these, being one God, are equal in deity, power, and glory. God is infinite in love, perfect in judgments, and unchanging in righteousness and mercy. We believe that God not only created the world, but also now upholds, sustains, governs, and providentially directs all that exists, and that He will bring all things to their proper consummation in Christ Jesus, to the glory of His name. God The Father
We believe the heavenly Father is the source of all that exists, whether of matter or spirit. With the Son and the Holy Spirit, He made man, male and female, in His image. By intention He relates to people as Father, thereby forever declaring His goodwill toward them. In love He both seeks and receives penitent sinners. (Ps. 68:5; Isa. 64:8; Mt. 5:45; 7:11; Jn. 3:17; Rom. 8:15; 1 Pet. 1:17
God The Son
We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ (Messiah), the Son of God; that He is God incarnate, fully God and fully man; that He was eternally preexistent with the Father and the Holy Spirit; and that He was conceived and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a penal, substitutionary sacrifice for sinners. By His blood shed at the cross, He obtained for us eternal redemption, the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. He was raised bodily on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, there to make intercession for the saints forever. He will return to earth again to reign in righteousness. God The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit, in whom we are also sealed for the day of redemption. The Holy Spirit regenerates, forever indwells, and graciously equips the Christian for godly living and service. Subsequent to conversion, the Spirit desires to fill, empower, and anoint believers for ministry and witness. We also believe that signs and wonders, as well as all the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament, are operative today and are designed to testify to the presence of the kingdom and to empower and edify the Church to fulfill its calling and mission. Mankind
We believe that humanity, male and female, was originally created in the image of God, righteous and without sin. As a consequence of disobedience, all persons are sinners by both nature and choice, and are, therefore, spiritually dead and justly condemned in the sight of God, in need of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1–3:22; Ps. 51:5; Isa. 53:5; Rom. 3:9–18; 5:12–21; Eph. 2:1–3)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No ordinance, ritual, work or any other activity on the part of man is required or accepted for his salvation. This saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight, that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ. Christian Life
We believe that every Christian is called to live a life so empowered by the indwelling Spirit, that they will not fulfill the lust of the flesh. By yielding daily to the Spirit of God, every believer should mature and be conformed to the likeness of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:20-26; John 14: 23,24; Romans 12:1-3)
Eternity
We believe that those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ will live eternally with God (heaven), and that those who have not placed their faith in Jesus will live eternally without God (hell). (Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Revelation 19:20; 20:1-15; 21:8)
